Barrier Red Mite Concentrate 500ml

Barrier Red Mite Concentrate provides effective control for Red Mite and other insect pests in poultry and animal housing.

This HSE-approved concentrate offers a physical mode of action to control Red Mite and other blood-sucking or biting pests. The formulation has a slightly sticky consistency that, when applied to pests, breaks down their wax coating, causing dehydration and death. It is also effective on Red Mite eggs. Barrier Red Mite Concentrate is non-toxic and safe to use around feed areas, egg layers, and foodstuffs. It is 100% natural and suitable for use in organic farming systems. In addition to pest control, the product provides excellent cleaning, anti-bacterial, and disinfection properties for poultry and animal housing.

For ongoing maintenance, use a dilution rate of 1:50. Where infestation exists, use a 1:20 dilution rate. One 500ml bottle produces 10L of treatment. Do not use in conjunction with chemical-based products, as this will render the concentrate ineffective. To use, shake the container thoroughly before diluting. Pour the contents into water and stir well. Red Mites often live in crevices and roof structures; ensure these areas are thoroughly wetted with the mixture. Do not rinse; allow the product to dry naturally. Poultry can be returned to the housing once the area has dried.
